I tried to achieve high levels of fitness using the readily available “conventional wisdom”. All that ever did for me was leave me tired, broke and feeling like a failure… Oh yeah, it nearly killed me too… hence the title “Trying To Get Fit Can Kill You”. It’s true. The harder you try to get fit using the most commonly shared “conventional wisdom” that’s out there, the greater chance you run of really doing some serious damage to yourself.
